Airport Staff Provide Assistance to Inbound Foreign Travelers

As of March 9 this year, Beijing Daxing International Airport has witnessed over one million inbound and outbound visits, up by about 36.1% year-on-year. The one-million mark was reached 25 days earlier than it was last year.

With the increase of flight routes and frequencies, “China Travel” is taking the world by storm. The list of countries offering unilateral visa-free entry is expanding, and visa-free transit policies are being relaxed and optimized. Driven by a series of policies that facilitate inbound tourism, business negotiations, and visits to relatives and friends, the number of foreign tourists coming to China has seen a steady upward trend. Some foreign tourists embark on short-term weekend trips, while others go on in-depth tours across provinces and regions. Among them are both first-time visitors and repeat travelers. As of now, Beijing Daxing International Airport has welcomed 211,000 visits by foreign nationals, representing a year-on-year increase of about 67.9%.

Starting from this year, economic recovery has spurred the ongoing resurgence of international trade and cross-border tourism. The proximity of New Year’s Day, winter vacation and Spring Festival holidays has contributed to a rapid rise in the number of international passengers at Daxing International Airport. Concurrently, the airport has expanded its reach to more destinations. As of March, Daxing Airport has launched round-trip flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Casablanca, Vientiane and other cities. In the upcoming flight season, Air China, Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air and Batik Air of Malaysia will start operations at Daxing International Airport, thereby further enhancing the international flight route network.

To further establish Beijing Daxing International Airport as a global aviation hub, its entry-exit border inspection station has optimized duty rosters, closely monitored passenger flows, installed guidance signs correctly and deepened communication with port inspection agencies and airlines. By implementing these comprehensive measures, the station aims to increase the efficiency of customs clearance and improve passenger experience.
