The Guide is structured around four key sections:
"Understanding Beijing"

"Settling in Beijing"
It especially emphasizes the first two sections which prospective foreign teenage students are more interested in, presenting information under eight main themes in sequence: "How to Choose Universities and Majors", "Costs and Scholarships for Studying in Beijing", "How to Prepare Application Materials", "Admission Process and Acceptance Letter", "Pre-departure Preparation", "Basic Registration Process", "Integrating into Beijing", and "Settling in Beijing".
The "Understanding Beijing" section covers key information on the top 10 reasons to study in Beijing, introduction to higher education in China, popular majors for foreign students coming to China, the ways to find admission requirements and prepare application materials, tuition and accommodation fees at Beijing's universities, guidelines to applications for scholarships, entrance exams and assessments, etc.
The "Studying in Beijing" section introduces procedures before arrival in Beijing, including visa application, travel booking, accommodation application, financial and payment preparation and luggage packing, along with basic registration process covering such parts as registration, tuition payment, insurance purchase, and physical examination reservation.
