Approved by the State Council, the 2025 ZGC Forum Annual Conference will be held in Beijing from March 27 to 31. The event is co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the China Association for Science and Technology, and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality.

ZGC Forum is a national-level platform in China for global sci-tech innovation exchanges and cooperation. Established in 2007 with the permanent theme of “Innovation and Development”, the forum aims to promote the sharing of global innovation and development concepts among countries, facilitate discussions on trends in cutting-edge technologies and future-oriented industries, explore global innovation rules and governance, and jointly advance science and technology to better benefit people worldwide.

Themed “New Quality Productive Forces and Global Science and Technology Cooperation”, this year’s annual conference consists of five major components: meetings, technology trade fairs, achievement releases, frontier competitions, and supporting events. It will feature an opening ceremony and plenary session, approximately 60 parallel forums, the ZGC International Technology Trade Fair, the Zhongguancun International Advanced Technology Competition, and a special session for major achievement releases. Other supporting events include cultural exchanges, science popularization, and project roadshows. Beyond the annual conference period, a series of regular activities will be held throughout the year.
