In Zuojiazhuang Subdistrict, Chaoyang District, over 50 foreign friends from 18 countries, including the UK, Germany, Russia, and Thailand, participated in a variety of folk activities to savor the joy of the Spring Festival. These activities included trying on Hanfu (one of the traditional types of Chinese clothing), doing paper cutting, writing the character “Fu” (meaning good fortune), rubbing New Year paintings, and crafting dough figurines.
Visiting Temple Fairs
A total of 17 international students from Beijing Jiaotong University gathered at Tongqing Street, Haidian District, to enjoy traditional Chinese flagpole balancing performance, taste Chinese snacks, and admire the beautiful New Year decorations. “It’s my first time seeing this kind of acrobatics,” said one of the students. “The performers are incredibly skilled!”
