The electronic map features over 30,000 annotations, covering administrative areas, natural landmarks, transportation routes and hubs, government agencies, international organizations, educational and cultural institutions, medical facilities, sports and leisure venues, residential areas and hotels, and commercial establishments, among others. To better serve foreign nationals, relevant authorities sorted out frequently inquired information regarding English maps and made six additional thematic sections featuring over 4,000 annotations for accessing currency exchange in designated banks, SIM cards, transit cards, identity documents, recommended driving routes, and tourist attractions services. These sections are designed to provide convenient inquiry and location-based services for foreigners travelling, working and living in Beijing.

Data from the English map will be shared on relevant government portals, map service platforms, and third-party life service platforms to increase service access.

Printed maps are also available, including a map of Beijing, a map of Beijing’s urban areas, and a map of the capital’s core zone. The printed maps feature locations frequented by foreign nationals, such as airports, train stations and tourist destinations. They also highlight locations of historical and cultural interest, such as the Beijing Central Axis and other World Heritage Sites. The electronic versions of these maps are available for free download by foreigners and other members of the public on the Beijing Platform for Common Geospatial Information Services.
