Travelers from a Malaysian tour group obtained temporary driving permits in just one hour at the Vehicle Management Station in Beijing Daxing International Airport Terminal

After arriving at Beijing Daxing International Airport, 12 Malaysian nationals from a tour group obtained temporary driving permits for foreigners in just one hour at the Vehicle Management Station in the terminal building. According to the Beijing Daxing International Airport Branch of the Capital Airport Public Security Bureau, since the beginning of this year, the Vehicle Management Station has issued temporary driving permits to over 150 foreign travelers. The policy allowing foreign nationals to obtain driving permits at the nearest station upon arrival has received unanimous praise from international visitors.

Recently, the Vehicle Management Station at Beijing Daxing International Airport Terminal received a call from a tour guide of an international travel agency, saying that a Malaysian tour group would soon be in China, with 12 Malaysian nationals expressing a need for self-drive. They inquired about the required procedures. The police officer at the Vehicle Management Station provided detailed information over the phone, including a list of necessary documents: entry and exit identification, the original driving license, and a one-inch photo. The officer also scheduled an appointment for the travelers. “The Vehicle Management Station is on the second floor of Beijing Daxing International Airport Terminal. As long as all required materials are prepared, temporary driving permits for foreigners can be issued quickly,” the officer explained.

A few days later, the tour group landed at Beijing Daxing International Airport. The 12 Malaysian nationals went to the Vehicle Management Station at the scheduled time. After submitting the required documents and completing the application forms, all of them successfully obtained temporary driving permits within an hour. The police also provided detailed instructions on safe driving precautions. “I didn’t expect it to be so convenient. We received our temporary driving permits quickly after arrival. Thank you so much!” one of the foreign travelers exclaimed.

In August last year, the Beijing Daxing International Airport Branch of the Capital Airport Public Security Bureau established a Vehicle Management Station on the second floor of the Beijing Daxing International Airport Terminal. The station offers a range of services for both domestic and international travelers, and nearby residents, including driving license renewals and replacements, as well as issuance of motor vehicle inspection marks for vehicles exempt from inspection and temporary vehicle license plates. Equipped with self-service physical examination machines and photo booths, the Vehicle Management Station allows applicants to complete the entire process in one go, from information collection and photo-taking to physical examination and license collection. The policy enables foreigners to obtain temporary driving permits at the nearest station upon arrival without leaving the Terminal, earning widespread acclaim from international travelers.
