Shijingshan District:

2024 “Belt and Road” Diplomats’ Cycling Series (Beijing·Laoshan)

On November 16, the 2024 “Belt and Road” Diplomats’ Cycling Series (Beijing·Laoshan) was successfully held at the Laoshan City Leisure Park.

Themed “Share the Same Future”, the event drew over 400 participants, including high-level cyclists from Belt and Road partner countries and across China. Laoshan City Leisure Park, the venue for the cycling event, received widespread acclaim from participants for its smooth, expansive track, excellent facilities, and the picturesque scenery.


Mentougou District:

2024 Tour of Mentougou International Road Cycling Race and 2024 Mentougou Outdoor Mountain Cycling Tour Festival

The 2024 Tour of Mentougou International Road Cycling Race and 2024 Mentougou Outdoor Mountain Cycling Tour Festival kicked off in Mentougou District, Beijing on November 16. Nearly 600 people took part, including 21 elite teams from countries and regions such as France, Russia, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Hong Kong SAR, along with amateur cyclists and family cycling enthusiasts.

The two-day event was held in Tanzhesi Town and Zhaitang Town. Known as “Beijing’s cycling paradise”, Mentougou District offers a wealth of scenic cycling routes. The racecourse was carefully designed to showcase the blend of mountainous landscapes and cycling paths, leaving participants marveling at Mentougou’s majestic mountains and rivers, rich cultural heritage, and pristine ecology.


Yanqing District:

2024 - 2025 IBSF Skeleton Asian Cup Yanqing and IBSF Skeleton World Cup Yanqing

On November 23, the 2024 - 2025 International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) Skeleton Asian Cup Yanqing and IBSF Skeleton World Cup Yanqing kicked off at the National Sliding Centre. Over 80 domestic and international athletes from 19 countries and regions gathered to compete in this premier winter sports event.

The 2024-2025 IBSF Skeleton Asian Cup and the World Cup are hosted by the  International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF). The Asian Cup consists of eight races, with the first four already held in Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea, and the remaining four taking place at the National Sliding Centre. A total of 23 athletes from five countries and one region participated in the competition. The World Cup includes 10 races, with Yanqing hosting the second one. A total of 61 athletes from 16 countries competed for top honors.
