On August 27, Beijing Daxing International Airport opened the international passenger channel of its fixed-base operator (FBO) as well as a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility for business jets. In the future, the FBO will serve both inbound and outbound international business flights of the airport, consolidating a new pattern for business aviation operations with “two airports in one city”, and helping elevate Daxing Airport into a high-end international aviation gateway embracing all-round opening.

Exclusive MRO facility for business flights at Daxing Airport

This FBO stands as the largest single facility dedicated to business aviation in China. It comprises a business jet apron of 300,000 square meters, five aircraft parking hangars, and one exclusive MRO facility for business jets, with a total hangar space exceeding 30,000 square meters.

Business jets primarily serve business travelers. With the opening of the international channel at Daxing Airport, the city has established a distinctive operation pattern for its two aviation hubs, characterized by “differentiated priorities, coordinated efforts, moderate competition, and common growth”. The addition of the new facility provides a premier platform and robust support for business aviation operations both in China and abroad.

Since the introduction of the visa-free transit policy by the National Immigration Administration, there has been a surge in inbound travels to China. To cope with an increasing number of business flights arriving in and departing from Beijing, the FBOs at both Beijing Capital International Airport and Beijing Daxing International Airport now process on-site applications for foreigners’ Temporary Entry Permits. The opening of the channel will further facilitate international exchanges between China and the rest of the world by providing convenient and efficient one-stop ground services for global travelers.

It is reported that the exclusive MRO facility for business jets at Daxing Airport, invested and operated by ExecuJet Haite, opened on the same day. With its opening, Daxing Airport is now able to provide maintenance services for all types of business jets.
