In her speech, Peng said that the summer camp is not only a get-together for Chinese and African children, but also a clear demonstration of the closeness between China and Africa. Chinese and African people have always understood and supported one another in their pursuit of happiness. As a companion on Africa’s development path, China is committed to ensuring the healthy growth of both Chinese children and African children. Noting that China and Africa will always be sincere friends, Peng expressed the hope that all of the children at the summer camp would plant the seeds of China-Africa friendship in their hearts and take the baton to become the inheritors of this bond and a new force in building a China-Africa community with a shared future.

They listened to the touching stories shared by representatives of the Chinese medical teams in Africa. Representatives of Chinese and African children expressed their sincere gratitude to Peng for her long-standing care and attention and pledged to cherish their time, study hard, and become young envoys of China-Africa friendship. The children’s song and dance performances, along with fun games, received rounds of applause. At the end of the event, Peng took a group photo with the children and presented them with gifts.
