As a significant facility reinforcing Beijing’s role as the center for international exchanges, the China National Convention Center Phase II is nearing its official debut, with its final interior decoration steadily advancing. The venue is slated to begin operation in 2025.
Exhibition Complex of the China National Convention Center Phase II
Phase II is a key project funded and operated by Beijing North Star Convention and Exhibition Investment Company. The project is located at the central area of Beijing Olympic Park and to the north of Phase I. Adhering to the construction philosophy of “global vision, international standards, major state demeanor, and technological empowerment”, it has obtained the “China 3-Star Green Building” certification and stands as the world’s largest individual building granted with the “US Platinum LEED Certification”. Phase II consists of a main building and supporting structures, with the former serving as an exhibition center covering approximately 420,000 square meters. This comprehensive exhibition center is designed to host a wide range of events including conferences, forums and banquets for 30 to 20,000 participants, and even large-scale exhibitions with over 50,000 participants. The supporting structures, covering a floor area of around 360,000 square meters, form a comprehensive exhibition complex integrating various resources such as the 5A grade A office building of the North Star Centre, the high-end shopping mall POLPAS Beichenhui, the super five-star Beijing North Star Marriott Marquis Hotel, and Beijing North Star Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

In the pre-opening stage, efforts will be stepped up to fully enhance the capabilities to run Phase-II in a more professional and intelligent manner that aligns with international standards, so as to consistently expand its brand influence, and consolidate high-quality convention and exhibition resources. This strategy aims to attract more internationally recognized brand projects to Beijing, contributing to the city’s endeavor to build Phase II an “International Reception Hall.” Once fully operational, Phase II will emerge as a pivotal facility supporting Beijing’s role as the center for international exchanges, delivering regular services to high-end business conferences and exhibitions.
