The 2024 report on the latest achievements in consular protection promotion and education was also released. This report is an updated version based on the Regulation of the People’s Republic of China on Consular Protection and Assistance enacted in September 2023 and the newly-revised Guide to China’s Consular Protection and Assistance, thus serving as a better guidance for participating teams.
According to an official from the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality has upheld the highest standards in preventive consular protection work over the past years. Their remarkable performance, marked by numerous highlights, embodies a strong sense of responsibility and commitment. The Department of Consular Affairs will, as always, fully support local authorities in carrying out work on overseas consular protection and assistance.
The competition is co-hosted by the Office of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, Capital Civic Enhancement Committee Office, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and Beijing Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, under the guidance of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It consists of four stages: entry submission, preliminary review, training, and the final round. Six entries will be shortlisted to compete in the final for the first, second, and third prizes.
