Recently, a delegation led by Armando Ela Nsue Mengue, First Deputy General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, visited Haidian District to learn about smart city development.

Visit to Haidian City Brain Exhibition Center

At the Haidian City Brain Exhibition Center, the delegation gained an overview of Haidian’s progress in building “city brain” and its application scenarios and operation mechanisms in such areas as urban management, transportation, smart energy, and ecological protection. They also saw a display of the digital pathway, which leverages a perception neural network for data collection, storage, analysis, and cloud computing, and is applied across various domains of smart city development. The delegation was particularly impressed by and praised the extensive application of Internet of Things (IoT) in diverse areas, including confined spaces, bridge monitoring, and urban firefighting.

Tour to Sci-Tech Enterprise

The next stop was Megvii, where the delegation learned about the company’s development and observed the applications of intelligent logistics and Megvii robotics. The tour offered the delegates a good opportunity to experience the convenience and efficiency that artificial intelligence brings to production and everyday life.

The delegation said that they were deeply impressed by the achievements in Haidian’s smart city development, and saw firsthand the important and positive role that innovation plays in urban governance and socio-economic development, vividly manifesting Chinese modernization. They also expressed a desire to further exchanges and promote mutually beneficial cooperation in the future.
