The functions of the Yanqi Lake International Conference Resort have been further improved as the Qihu Hotel welcomed its first guests on December 29. A key project in Beijing, the hotel serves as a crucial part of the overall plan for upgrading the Yanqi Lake International Conference Resort, and its debut marks another milestone in this endeavor.

Situated on the eastern shore of Yanqi Lake in Huairou District, the Qihu Hotel is embraced by a fascinating landscape of shimmering waters and rolling hills. It covers a total construction area of approximately 53,000 square meters, integrating the original Qihu Hotel, Pulan Villa, and Yanqifang Hotel. This waterfront project,  stretching along a 500-meter shoreline, commenced in 2021 and concluded in November 2023, facing the Yanqi Island, Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, and Yanbai Villa on the other side of the lake.

With 257 rooms with panoramic lake views on offer, the Qihu Hotel consists of four “quadrangle courtyards”, representing the allure of traditional oriental culture and Beijing’s unique characteristics. The curved glass facade of the hotel lobby is cleverly designed to connect with the silhouette of the Hongluo Mountain winding afar, seamlessly blending the architecture with the natural landscape.

Since the early days of construction, the Hotel has been positioned as a pivotal venue for top-level state-to-state interactions that is well-equipped to host all activities of a diplomatic event. As such a supporting facility, the Qihu Hotel will serve as the media center for high-end summits and a primary service venue for staff at various conventions and exhibitions.

“The opening of the Qihu Hotel has brought the total number of available rooms in hotels around the lake to nearly 2,000,” said Liu Xiaofeng, General Manager of Beijing Enterprises Yanqi Island Hotel & Resort Management Co., Ltd. With the Qihu Hotel in operation, the Yanqi Lake International Conference Resort will become a mature resort with well-developed functions.
