Beijing Districts Seek Global Investment

In an effort to facilitate Beijing's high-quality development and high-level opening-up, several districts have sent delegations abroad to showcase their regional resources, explore opportunities for cooperation, and effectively communicate Beijing's narrative through various dimensions and channels.

Haidian District - UAE

Investment Promotion Roadshow

A delegation from Haidian District recently headed to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and France for investment promotion and economic and trade cooperation.

During the visit, the Beijing Haidian-Middle East ConnectTech Capital Conference was held in Dubai, the financial hub of the Middle East. Renowned investment institutions from the Middle East such as Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), Medad Holding, Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority of the UAE, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), and Emirates NBD, along with representatives from 12 high-tech enterprises from Zhongguancun, attended the conference.

Fengtai District - UK

China-UK Entrepreneurs Symposium

In late October, a delegation from Fengtai District visited the UAE and the UK to explore opportunities for multi-level and wide-ranging cooperation. The aim is to support the high-quality development of key functional areas in the district, such as Lize International Financial City and Zhongguancun Fengtai Subpark.

During the visit, a promotion conference for Fengtai District and a China-UK Entrepreneurs Symposium were held to discuss and exchange views with partners such as the China-Britain Business Council and the Council of the Global Innovation Alliance, as well as the UK National Committee on China (UKNCC), State Street Bank, Intevi Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd, and other commercial, financial, and technological organizations. The delegation also met with the digital design team and environmental technology team of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) to discuss integrating advanced concepts such as carbon neutrality into design of construction projects, so as to build the Lize International Financial City into a future-oriented and sustainable urban hub.

Changping District - Singapore

Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference

A delegation from Changping District embarked on a trip to Hong Kong SAR and Singapore to hold conferences aimed at promoting economic and trade cooperation. During their visit, they toured key enterprises, industry associations, chambers of commerce, and relevant financial institutions, showcasing the district's unique resources, distinctive industrial strengths, and investment opportunities. The goal was to empower the high-quality development of Changping District.

During the visit, the Changping-Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference was held. The delegation engaged in talks and exchanges with industry federations, including the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), as well as with Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited, CBC Group, ALPS Healthcare, ATLATL, and others, to explore opportunities for cooperation. A strategic cooperation framework agreement was signed with CBC Group.

Chaoyang District - Italy

Participating the 27th L'Artigiano in Fiera

The 27th L'Artigiano in Fiera will be held in Milan in early December. Beijing Panjiayuan International Folk Culture Development Co., Ltd. has been invited to participate in the event in Italy representing Chaoyang District.

L'Artigiano in Fiera is the world's largest exhibition of specialty handicrafts, food culture, and tourism industry. During the event, Panjiayuan Culture Company exhibited paper cutting, shadow play, crystal, onyx, and other cultural and creative products that highlight Chinese cultural elements and folk handicraft characteristics. These exhibits were well-received by attendees. The company also engaged in discussions with organizers and cultural and art enterprises from various countries on regarding potential collaborations within the cultural and creative industries.
