Districts and enterprises in Beijing are continuously enhancing their international communication capacity. Through foreign journalists, they are telling the world the stories of China in the new era, of Chinese modernization, and of Beijing. Through concrete actions, they are contributing to the capital's high-level opening-up and high-quality development.

Xicheng District: A model of urban renewal

Journalists from 10 countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, and Kazakhstan, visited Xicheng District for a deep dive into Beijing's rich historical and cultural heritage. They experienced the captivating blend of tradition and modernity that defines the charm of the district.

Lao She Teahouse is a miniature of Beijing-style teahouse culture, which combines tea, opera, and culinary cultures. Acknowledging the significant role tea culture plays in the life of the locals, the journalists captured this iconic place of folk culture with their cameras.

As an exemplary urban renewal project, Beijing Fun impressed the journalists with its transformation. They commended Beijing’s approach of preserving the old towns while turning them into a demonstration platform for modernity in the heart of the city.

Fengtai District: Leeza SOHO is eye-catching

Journalists from 30 countries joined a trip to Fengtai District to visit Leeza SOHO in the Lize Financial Business District and the Beijing Auto Museum.

In the Lize Financial Business District, they climbed to the "Lize Cloud Reception Hall", which offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding area. Phonsawan Jarupan, a journalist from Thailand, was busy taking photos and said, "The area is full of well-designed skyscrapers. I want to take more pictures."

At the Beijing Auto Museum, the journalists were briefed about the history of transportation in ancient China and the development of China's automobile industry. They also designed and stamped their own seals in the museum's Cultural and Creative Area. With postcards imprinted with a variety of patterns, they felt a sense of accomplishment. Birat Gautam from Nepal said, "I want to learn more Chinese and memorize more Chinese characters."

SINOVAC: Looking forward to more high-quality solutions

Journalists from 44 countries visited SINOVAC in Daxing District to explore the company's history and R&D efforts to help prevent and control global diseases.

After learning about the company's products and history in the "Vaccine - Hope" exhibition hall, they went to the vaccine concentrate workshop and listened to introduction of the vaccine concentrate production process, from virus cultivation to inactivation and purification. They were also shown around SINOVAC's recently inaugurated innovative production and research base, which is designed to promote the R&D and industrialization of a variety of innovative products.

The journalists hailed SINOVAC's high-quality vaccines as a powerful weapon in combating infectious disease outbreaks in many countries. They hope that SINOVAC and other Chinese biopharmaceutical companies will come up with more Chinese solutions to address potential public health challenges that the world may face in the future.
