On the morning of April 12, the first InnoEx co-hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), as well as the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) and the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) organized by the HKTDC, opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, attracting nearly 3,000 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions around the world. A delegation of 10 Zhongguancun high-quality companies specialized in the fields such as unmanned driving, robotics, metaverse, and smart cities attended the expo to showcase cutting-edge technological achievements. By leveraging the international market of Hong Kong, they aimed to accelerate the global market expansion of Zhongguancun's innovation companies.

Currently, both Beijing and Hong Kong are accelerating the development of international centers for scientific and technological innovation, so increased exchange and cooperation between the two regions are expected in this field. Going ahead, Beijing will seek out cooperative paths with a focus on cutting-edge technologies in two regions, supporting enterprises in achieving breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields such as artificial intelligence and medical health. Additionally, Beijing will establish a mechanism for jointly building and sharing major scientific infrastructure across the regions, while also promoting cooperation between key laboratories, universities, research institutions, and innovation enterprises in the two regions. Furthermore, Beijing plans to strengthen financial cooperation in innovation and technology by encouraging more Zhongguancun companies to leverage international financial resources and policy advantages to list in Hong Kong. More efforts will also be made to support enterprise expansion by leveraging multi-level capital markets. The Beijing-Hong Kong Parallel Forum on S&T International Innovation will be held during the ZGC Forum to showcase the scientific and technological achievements of both regions.

During the InnoEx, Beijing and Hong Kong also held activities such as the 2023 Beijing-Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Talent Development Summit and the Beijing-Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Project Fair.
