On the afternoon of August 5, the writing contest "My Story with Beijing, the Center for International Exchanges" was officially launched at the INNO LIB bookstore on the Zhongguancun Innoway, Haidian District. The contest is hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, organized by Beijing Radio & Television Station (BRTV) Beijing Time, and supported by Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited, Beijing North Star Company Limited, and Beijing Investment Group Company Limited.

The writing contest aims to explore the touching moments in Beijing's efforts to strengthen its role as the center for international exchanges, and warm stories in serving the country's international exchanges. Key themes of the contest include serving China's overall diplomacy, pooling high-end international resources, improving international services, and displaying the image of Beijing as the capital of a major country. It welcomes all the construction workers, service staff, staff of international organizations in Beijing, and volunteers who have been part of Beijing's efforts to improve its role as the center for international exchanges to tell their stories, from a microscopic perspective, about how they have participated in and witnessed the development and changes of Beijing. Such close-to-life real stories can showcase how each small step added up to bring about "big changes", so as to welcome the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

The launch ceremony was held in the form of a themed salon. Front-line staff from Beijing Yanqi Lake International Conference Resort, China National Conference Center, Asia Financial Center, World Tourism Cities Federation, and Innoway, as well as college student volunteers in the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, shared their stories of participating in and witnessing the development of Beijing as a center for international exchanges.

This contest welcomes individuals from all walks of life who care about and support Beijing in strengthening its role as a center for international exchanges to submit articles about their stories in relevant efforts. Entrants can scan the QR code of Beijing Cloud below to submit works which will then be reviewed and rated by experts. Those who win the first, second, and third prizes will be awarded certificates and bonuses. A special feature "My Story with Beijing, the Center for International Exchanges" Writing Contest will be launched on the official website of the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office and Beijing Time APP to publish outstanding entries.

Appointment letters were presented to expert judges at the launch ceremony.
