On August 16, the photo shooting event for the "Center for International Exchanges in Pictures", co-hosted by Beijing Foreign Affairs Office and China Public Diplomacy Association, was launched at the Beijing Expo Park and the Yanqing Olympic Zone. Journalists from Argentina, Brazil, Dominica, Kyrgyzstan, Guyana and other countries were invited.
Foreign journalists walked in the Beijing Expo Park enjoying the natural beauty of mountains and lakes. They stopped at the China Pavilion and the International Pavilion to take photos and feel the infinite charm of the legacy of the Beijing Expo 2019.
At the Yanqing Olympic Zone, the journalists took a cable car to the peak departure area of the Yanqing National Alpine Ski Centre, and got a bird's eye view of the fascinating Haituo Mountain, enjoying the breathtaking alpine landscape and the picturesque sea of clouds and feeling the enthusiasm of the Winter Olympic Games across time and space. Also, they took out their cell phones to record the spectacular scenery. When they noticed the full 5G signal, they exclaimed, “Awesome! There's 5G coverage even in this cable car at an altitude of more than 1,000 meters!”
At the Yanqing National Sliding Centre, the Beijing Winter Olympic Village in the Yanqing competition zone and the Beijing Winter Olympic Exhibition Center, foreign journalists listened carefully to local guides and enjoyed immersive experiences. They kept taking photos and were full of admiration, "So incredible! No country other than China can complete such a big project of high quality within five years." "The 'Flying Snow Dragon' is so impressive! It's even more spectacular than what I saw online!"
Samuel Timothy Sukhnandan with the National Communications Network of Guyana said, "I am so impressed by this trip. The unique architecture and culture of Beijing, the capital of China, are unparalleled. They gave me an extraordinary experience. Words can hardly describe the beauty of Beijing. Only by visiting it can you truly feel the city."
Velia Govaere with La Nación, a Costa Rican newspaper, said that the venues of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games were on such a massive scale and that the mountain views were breathtaking. She hoped that everyone would soon be able to visit these places.
