On September 14, foreign journalists from China International Press Communication Center went to Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park, Shine Hills, and Beijing Honav Culture Park to take part in the fourth offline thematic filming event of the 2nd "Beijing·A Global City" Short Video Contest.
The 2nd "Beijing·A Global City" Short Video Contest was sponsored by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and organized by CRI Online of China Media Group. The theme of the event is "Pooling International Resources and Promoting Global Cooperation". More than 20 journalists from 16 countries in Europe, Asia, and the Arab region were invited to participate in this event.
In the China-Germany Building, in addition to various new technologies, the public service platform for the integration of industry and education also aroused the keen interest of foreign journalists. Mr. Su Han, the founder and CEO of Hohem Tech, said that the great business environment and various services provided by Shunyi District and China-Germany Industrial Park attracted his company to settle here, and his family and children can study and live here without worries.
In Shine Hills, foreign journalists were attracted by the internationalized living and leisure space after just having a good view of the science and technology feast. The coffee and a wide variety of national cuisines on the dining street were very tempting. By the tinkling fountain, we could find how happy the parents and their kids were from the peals of laughter. Various fitness equipment was so appealing to curious visitors that they could not wait to have a go.
The journalist from ARMENPRESS Armenian News Agency, Irapejon Varvara, said that Beijing is a very international city with friendly citizens who make their guests feel at home. This journalist would love to visit Beijing again if there is a chance in the future.
The workshop-style office area with lawns was spacious and refreshing at HONAV Group, located in the Jinma Industrial Area in Shunyi District. In the exhibition hall of HONAV's special cultural and creative products, foreign journalists showed strong interest in the Winter Olympics series products and were impressed by the "Wenjun bottle" (Chinese White Spirit) which had been given to the special guests of the Winter Olympics. They were keen to know more about the series of badges which were designed based on Chinese family names and the message of "Humanistic Olympics" delivered by these badges. Some journalists said that they would like to introduce these pretty and delicate cultural and creative products to their own countries and enhance bilateral cooperation in this regard.
Mohamed Saad, a journalist from The Brown Land, a newspaper in Sudan, said, "Beijing's advanced technology and good investment environment are impressive. The citizens are friendly and the life here is convenient. Foreign nationals can live comfortably here."
