In March 2022, approved by the Financial Services Technical Committee of International Organization for Standardization (ISO/TC 68), Asian Financial Cooperation Association (AFCA) became the first Asian Category A Liaison with ISO/TC 68.
AFCA is an international non-government organization initiated by China and headquartered in Beijing. Its philosophy is "Connectivity, Cooperation, Joint Governance and Shared Benefits". AFCA is devoted to building an exchange and cooperation platform for Asian financial institutions and strengthening exchanges among regional financial institutions and financial resources integration. Its members are primarily financial institutions, associations of the financial industry and relevant professional service agencies in Asia and beyond.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the world's authoritative international organization in the field of standardization. TC 68 is a very important technical committee of ISO in finance, responsible for the standardization of banking, securities and other financial services. Striving to become the first Asian Category A Liaison with ISO/TC 68 is an important measure of AFCA to enhance international financial communication and cooperation between Asia and other regions. It aims to provide more services for members, establish a platform for members to participate in global financial standardization work, promote exchanges and cooperation between members and their countries or regions and ISO/TC 68, enhance the standardization of regional finance, so as to contribute Asian wisdom to the development of international financial standards.
