The Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and Guangming Online are jointly organizing "Beijing· A Global City" Short Video Contest in pursuit of three goals: to tell China's and Beijing's stories well and make their voices heard; to vividly display the latest progress of Beijing as the center for international exchanges; to present a true, multi-dimensional and panoramic view of Beijing as a global city, and improve its international stature.
I. Theme
The aim of this short video contest is to highlight Beijing's role as a global city. Videos with the following features will be desirable:
1. provide novel perspectives (i.e., from different fields; different age groups; at home and abroad) and lively content
2. capture Beijing's development, international exchanges, internationalized cultural environment, non-governmental exchange activities, etc.
The selected videos will be released through multiple channels including video-sharing platforms Kuaishou and WeSee, central-level and municipal-level media, etc., highlighting Beijing's role as a global city and the center for international exchanges.

Content: positive; present a true and multi-dimensional Beijing with a specific focus on its global image; cover different perspectives
Copyright: the copyrights of submitted videos belong to entrants, who are solely responsible for the legal matters concerning copyrights of the video materials; organizers can use the videos for non-profit promotion purposes and for display on a long-term basis.
V. Award Evaluation and Display
1. Entry Submissions
Entrants need to upload their video entries to the new media platform, Kuaishou, with the tag “#北京·国际范儿” (#Beijing·A Global City)
2. Expert Review
The staff of Guangming Online will conduct a preliminary screening of the videos by their content. Experts invited by the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office and Guangming Online will further review the videos shortlisted, decide on the award-winners and award honor certificates and bonuses.
3. Award Setting
First Prize: 3 video entries, 1000 yuan per entrant before tax
Second Prize: 5 video entries, 800 yuan per entrant before tax
Third Prize: 10 video entries, 500 yuan per entrant before tax
Most popular videos (videos obtaining most likes on Kuaishou): 200 yuan per entrant before tax
Other awards are set for the best theme, best creativity, best editing, best photography, best organization and special contribution.
Award winners will receive bonuses for production. The award winner who fails to provide valid account information will be considered as giving up the bonus. The award result will be released on Guangming Online. Certificates will be presented at the award ceremony. To ensure the rights and interests of the entrants, all award winners should send accurate information on their identities and account numbers as well as original videos to the email address designated by Kuaishou staff.
4. Display
The award-winning videos will be displayed on the official website of the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office and the special page of Guangming Online on a long-term basis.
