On the afternoon of June 16, the first training course of the China-Israel Emergency Response Training Center was held at Beijing Friendship Hospital. Thirty first responders and directors from medical institutions in Beijing participated.
China-Israel Emergency Response Training Center is a cooperation project under the framework of the China-Israel Innovation Cooperation Action Plan (2018-2021) signed by the Chinese and Israeli governments and the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on China-Israel Medical Emergency Cooperation signed between Beijing Municipal Health Commission and Israel Embassy in China. In December 2020, with the joint support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Beijing Municipal Health Commission and the Israeli Embassy in China, the China-Israel Emergency Response Training Center was officially established at Beijing Friendship Hospital. Dedicated to facilitating mutual learning and exchanges in medical emergency response and sci-tech innovation, the center trains emergency staff and frontline managers for Beijing and for the whole country, enhances medical emergency response team building, and improves the city's emergency response capability.
The training was held online and lasted for two days. The theme for the training was how to deal with mass casualty incidents (MCI). Two Israeli emergency response experts gave systematic explanations on MCI and its emergency management. After the training, both sides exchanged views on relevant issues.
