On May 29th, Shijingshan District was invited to participate in the celebration of "City Day" in the sister city of Chita, Russia. Mr. Li Xin, the District Mayor of Shijingshan District, attended the event online and delivered a speech.
Li Xin said that Shijingshan District and Chita City have closely exchanged and cooperated with each other fruitfully and practically in various fields including economy, culture, sports, education, women and youth, since the relationship of sister cities was established in 2011. After the outbreak of COVID-19, both sides expressed sympathy and encouragement to each other through letters, videos and other forms, and shared their anti-epidemic experience. On May 25, Changping District signed a cooperation agreement with Zhongguancun Hezhong Angel Investment Union, and the final rounds of the first "Sino-Russia Youth Competition on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creativity" in the two fields of medicine and health, and culture, tourism and sports were officially held in Changping.
It is reported that the competition will be opened in August this year, and six major contests (specialized fields) will be set up, including "cyberspace (software-based), IT hard technology (hardware-based), advanced manufacturing, new energy and materials, medicine and health, and culture, tourism and sports", and the selection of projects will be carried out both online and offline in China and Russia. The finalists selected online will respectively compete in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, Qingdao, Shandong Province and Changping, Beijing, and the winning projects will be selected for the finals during the ZGC Forum in 2021.
