Focusing on the theme of this year's National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, which is "preventing and diffusing disaster risks and consolidating the foundation of safe development", and emergencies that people may encounter overseas, safety training experts conducted on-site emergency simulation exercises, and explained consular protection knowledge and response measures for earthquakes, fire, robbery, and other emergencies. The experts said that in our daily life, it is very necessary to raise the awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation, master relevant useful skills, and master safety knowledge. Only in this way can we prevent and respond to emergencies overseas in a timely and efficient manner.

After the lecture, there was an exciting interactive quiz on consular protection knowledge, and everyone enthusiastically participated in and responded.

Citizens who participated in the event spoke highly of it, and said that this event was very practical and pragmatic, especially escape methods in the face of fire, rope knotting skills in times of crisis, and response to robbery and other emergencies, which were very useful for saving lives. Thanks to this event organized by the Beijing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, we have learned a lot about disaster prevention, self-rescue, and how to protect ourselves and the people around us. In addition, we learned that in case of emergency abroad, we need not panic, but should call 12308 for help.
