The activity series for "Foreign Language Signage Improvement Month" has attracted numerous citizens to actively participate since it was officially launched on April 18, 2021. As for its second offline error correction activity, domestic and foreign experts as well as volunteers came to the Beijing Olympic Park and had surveys into the foreign language signage here.

Douglas K. Prescott, an expert taking part in the correction activity and the Chief President of the Canadian International School of Beijing, CISB, said that there were no errors found in today's survey in the Beijing Olympic Park, but also proposed some suggestions for improvement, hoping to make these bilingual signs better and more helpful for foreign tourists.

The officials from Beijing Chaoyang District Foreign Affairs Office said that the standardization of bilingual signage not only demands coordination from municipal departments, but also requires cooperation from authorities at district levels. Furthermore, citizens' active participation plays an irreplaceable role in promoting the standardization of bilingual signs. In terms of today's error correction activity, experts of foreign languages, foreign friends and volunteers provide lots of practical advice. We believe that the standardization of foreign language signage will become better and better, contributing further to the efficient operation of the beautiful city Beijing.
