On July 6, Yin Yong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Beijing, met with Zhang Yihao, President and CEO of GE Healthcare China. Yin Yong expressed his appreciation for GE Healthcare's contribution to the fight against COVID-19. He hopes that GE Healthcare will fully seize the strategic opportunities presented by Beijing's pilot program of further opening up its service sector and the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, bringing more medical products to Beijing, and leverage the unique resources in the region to integrate the industry chain and develop core products and parts. Beijing will continue to improve its business environment and support enterprises in every way in their endeavor to scale up operations.

Zhang Yihao said that GE Healthcare has been operating in China for many years and is very confident about investing in China. It has accelerated the introduction of new products and plans to increase R&D investment in China, and develop nuclear medicine equipment, intelligent diagnostic equipment, digital medical incubators, etc., to further promote product localization.
