The Oldest Old

They refer to individuals aged 80 and above, encompassing seniors who require assistance due to physical or cognitive impairments and those who can look after themselves. In 2024, Beijing released the Measures for Enhancing Services and Support for the Oldest Old, which set out 20 targeted measures in six key areas. In addition, elderly people under 80 facing physical or cognitive challenges are also covered by these measures.
