A group interview of multiple foreign media outlets in Beijing was organized by Beijing Foreign Affairs Office together with the CPC Publicity Department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 10. Nearly 50 journalists from 31 foreign media outlets in Beijing, including Associated Press (AP), Reuters, Russia Today (RT), and Rai - Radiotelevisione Italiana, participated in the event, which focused on covering the production of Covid-19 medicine, the supply of necessities, and the resumption of work and production.
During their visits to CR Double-Crane Pharmaceuticals, Youcare Pharmaceutical Group, JD.com's Asia No.1 Logistics Park, and SMC Automation China in Chaoyang District, Daxing District, and Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, they learned about the production and supply of Covid-19 drugs, and how companies resume production and ensure stable output and efficient delivery in a swift manner by tapping intelligent technologies.
At CR Double-Crane and Youcare Pharmaceutical Group, the first batch of drugs with expanded production capacity, such as Azivudine tablets and compound paracetamol and amantadine hydrochloride capsules, were rolling off the production line. Machines at SMC Automation China were neatly lined up and busy running. Intelligent equipment were sorting and transferring goods at JD.com's Asia No.1 Logistics Park. Foreign journalists showed great interest during the visits. A reporter from Kyodo News was excited to see how Covid drugs were produced, and a journalist from Yle, a public service media in Finland, was really impressed by JD's intelligent logistics system.
Competent personeel from the companies also briefed the journalists from media like Yonhap News Agency and Lianhe Zaobao on the resumption of work and production and the shift schedules of employees during the Spring Festival.
