On July 25, Yin Li, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, met with a delegation led by Salvador Illa, Leader of the Socialist Party of Catalonia and President of the Regional Government of Catalonia, in Beijing.

Yin noted that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Spain. China stands ready to work with Spain to implement the important consensus reached between the leaders of the two countries, further enhance inter-party exchanges and subnational cooperation, andcontinuously deepen practical cooperation in various fields,thereby facilitatingthe development of China-Spain and China-EU relations.

Illa said that Spain is committed to enhancing exchanges and dialogue with China and deepening cooperation in areas such as inter-party relations,subnational collaboration, economy and trade, science and technology, as well as culture,thus delivering greater benefits to the peoples of both countries.
