On the morning of December 6, Yin Yong, Mayor of Beijing, met with Anil Wadhwani, CEO of Prudential plc.

Yin said that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee outlined a series of tasks on further deepening reform comprehensively and expanding high-level opening-up, which will create new opportunities for China to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and achieve common development with countries worldwide. As China’s economy maintains the momentum of stable growth, the Chinese market offers vast potential for further expansion and will remain an attractive destination for foreign investment. Beijing, as one of the first regions in China to develop and open up its insurance market, offers broad prospects for the industry’s growth as its enterprises and residents have increasingly recognized the importance of insurance in recent years. Yin welcomed Prudential to further expand its investments and business presence in Beijing, diversify its product and service offerings, and deepen cooperation with the city to share the opportunities brought by the city’s high-quality development. Beijing will continue to improve its business environment and implement “service packages” and “steward services” mechanisms to deliver high-quality services to various enterprises in the city.

Optimistic about China’s economic development, Wadhwani expressed Prudential’s unwavering commitment to Beijing and China, pledging to expand investment and develop more insurance products and services tailored to market demand, thereby supporting Beijing’s high-quality development.
