On the morning of August 27, Yin Yong, Mayor of Beijing, met with Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates.

Yin stated that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) outlined a new blueprint for China’s reform and opening-up, sending a strong signal to the world of China’s unwavering commitment to reform and opening-up. As part of its efforts to become an international innovation center, Beijing is improving the financial support system for innovation and promoting high-end, precision, and cutting-edge industries. Various innovation entities in the city are demonstrating strong vitality. He encouraged Bridgewater to leverage its expertise, participate in the opening-up and development of Beijing’s financial sector, increase its investment in the city, and share the opportunities brought by Beijing’s high-quality development. Under the “service package” and “steward services” mechanisms, Beijing will provide a better environment for Bridgewater and all other enterprises in the city.
