Yin Li Leads CPC Delegation to Serbia

BELGRADE, May 22 (Xinhua News Agency) - At the invitation of the Serbian Progressive Party, Yin Li, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit Serbia from May 20 to 21. During the visit, Yin met with Miloš Vučević, president of the Serbian Progressive Party and prime minister of Serbia; and Ana Brnabić, speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia respectively.

Yin said that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Vučić, China-Serbia relations have withstood the test of international changes and reached an unprecedented level. During President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Serbia, the two presidents announced together their agreement on building a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era, opening up a new chapter in the history of the bilateral relations. China is ready to work with Serbia to implement the strategic consensus reached by the two heads of state, promote the spirit of the ironclad friendship between the two countries, and jointly advance the building of a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era. Beijing will further deepen cooperation with Serbia in fields such as economy and trade, science and technology, and culture, and strengthen sister-city exchanges to enhance China-Serbia relations through sub-national engagements.

With high regard for the ironclad friendship between Serbia and China, the Serbian side expressed willingness to work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen the ties between the two parties, and deepen exchanges in governance experience and sub-national cooperation. Serbia is committed to actively participating in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries, striving for more tangible outcomes across various sectors, and bringing more benefits to the two peoples.

During the visit, Yin visited the China Cultural Center in Belgrade and the Museum of Contemporary Art, and attended the 66th International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements. He also attended an art exhibition in Novi Sad featuring works of students and faculties from both China and Serbia, co-hosted by Beijing Union University and its Serbian partners.
