Yin Li extended a welcome to the advisors and thanked them for their attention and support for Beijing’s work. He said that the initiative of building a community with a shared future for mankind, proposed by President Xi Jinping, has moved from idea to reality, from thought to action, and is now deeply rooted in people’s hearts. As the capital of China, Beijing is well-positioned to play a greater role in promoting international exchanges and communication. Our development goal is to take the lead in basically realizing socialist modernization. At present, we are vigorously developing new quality productive forces, deepening reform and opening-up, promoting high-quality development, and fostering a first-class business environment. We will further improve arrangements for opening up key areas such as science and technology, finance, and the service sector, and make it more convenient for foreigners to visit, study and work in Beijing. We will also offer more opportunities for international enterprises to invest and grow in China, and enable them to thrive in Beijing.

He said that as an important platform for Beijing to expand high-level opening-up, the meeting has witnessed and played a role in Beijing's glorious development since its establishment, and has been instrumental in sharing Beijing's development opportunities with international companies. All enterprises are welcome to expand their investment and operations in Beijing, meet the city's development needs with their advantages, make good use of the "two zones" and other opening-up policies, and share the benefits of high-level opening-up and high-quality development. In terms of sci-tech innovation cooperation, they are encouraged to get more involved in building Beijing into an international innovation center and a global pacesetter in the digital economy, and strengthen scientific research cooperation in areas of common interests, such as artificial intelligence, energy security, and human health, so as to integrate into the global innovation network and produce more fruitful innovation results. As for people-to-people exchanges, they are expected to build bridges for more cooperation in areas such as education and youth, and help bring world-class cultural and sports events to Beijing. It is also hoped that they will contribute their wisdom to Beijing's high-quality development, and introduce global urban governance experience based on their perspectives and expertise, as well as offer valuable advice for the city's development.

On behalf of the advisory council, Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Schneider Electric SE, and Douglas L. Peterson, President and Chief Executive Officer of S&P Global spoke highly of Beijing's remarkable success. Thanks to the meeting, which serves as a platform for entrepreneurs to deeply engage with each other and participate in the city's development, they can work together with Beijing to deepen cooperation in more areas for mutually beneficial development. They will also act as a bridge between Beijing and the world to facilitate more international companies to invest and prosper in the city.

Municipal leaders Xia Linmao, Yu Yingjie, Ma Jun, Gao Peng, and Sima Hong, as well as Mu Peng, Secretary General of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, attended the meeting.
