On the morning of June 30, Yin Yong, Mayor of Beijing, met with David Schwimmer, CEO of London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).

According to Yin, as a national financial management center, Beijing boasts a sound financial market system, various financial institutions, and a thriving financial industry. LSEG, the world's leading provider of financial market infrastructure and data, has been actively growing its business in Beijing in recent years. It is welcomed to leverage its advantages to further expand investment and business presence in Beijing, and explore more cooperation opportunities with institutions like Beijing Stock Exchange (BSE) and Beijing International Data Exchange. It is also encouraged to participate in the development of Beijing's capital market and digital economy, introduce more high-quality international investors and advanced financial concepts, and share the opportunities brought by Beijing's high-level opening up. Beijing will continue to foster a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized, and implement the "service packages" and "steward services" system to provide good services to companies, so that various enterprises can enjoy a favorable environment for their investment and development in the city.

Schwimmer highly praised Beijing’s measures and achievements in improving the business environment, thanked Beijing for its significant support for LSEG's related enterprises to set up offices and develop in the city, and expressed confidence in the prospects of the Chinese economy. LSEG will remain committed to China, expand its business presence in Beijing, and bring more investment from international companies, thus contributing to the opening-up of Beijing’s financial sector.
