Yin Li, secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Beijing Municipal Committee, met with Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman and CEO of Schneider Electric from France on the morning of March 28.

Yin Li welcomed the guests and briefed them on the economic and social development of Beijing, highlighting its large consumer market, steadily increasing annual investment, and strong momentum in high-tech industries. Having been developing in Beijing for nearly 30 years, Schneider Electric has contributed to the city's smart manufacturing industry with its products and services for urban infrastructure construction. Given the huge potential and broad prospects for deeper cooperation, it is hoped that Schneider Electric could further expand its investment in Beijing, leverage its technological advantages in industrial digitalization, and participate in the development of Beijing's infrastructure, major projects, and smart cities. Beijing hopes that Schneider Electric can provide support for local enterprises in their digital and intelligent transformation, so that they can do more to help build Beijing into a benchmark city for the global digital economy. Schneider Electric is expected to play a leading role in expanding the industrial and supply chain in and around Beijing, as well as participate in the construction of green and intelligent buildings and the energy-saving renovation of public buildings to help Beijing peak its carbon emissions and achieve carbon neutrality. In return, Beijing will provide a first-class business environment with better and more professional services for the company.

Jean-Pascal Tricoire expressed his appreciation for Beijing's support and assistance to Schneider Electric as well as his willingness to further expand the company's investment and business presence in Beijing. Moreover, Schneider Electric will play an active part in the city's infrastructure construction and major projects, thus promoting digital and green transformation of more enterprises.

Municipal leaders Xia Linmao, Jin Wei, and Zhao Lei attended the meeting.
