On the morning of September 1, the Global Entrepreneurs Summit on Trade in Services, part of the 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services, was held at the China National Convention Center. Cai Qi, Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce, attended the opening ceremony.

As one of the seven forums of the 2022 CIFTIS, the Global Entrepreneurs Summit on Trade in Services with the theme of "Power of Innovation", envisaged trends of innovation in technology, management as well as business models and forms for global services providers. The summit looked at the prospect of trade in services and showed what enterprises demanded and expected. The summit consisted of five parts: opening remarks, the release of relevant reports, presentations, dialogues on policies, and closed-door meetings. During the summit, the Report on Global Innovation Trends of Trade in Services 2022 was released, expounding on the innovation of global trade in services.

The summit was organized by the Global Alliance for Trade in Services, which was officially established on April 25. Headquartered in Beijing, it aims to provide services for enterprises, pursue development for trade in services, and promote global exchanges and cooperation in the sector. It is committed to developing new models and forms of trade in services as well as improving relevant standards and rules to enable an open, innovative and integrated market for the services sector. The Alliance is an international, industry-based and non-profit social organization voluntarily joined by business associations, professional organizations and enterprises in trade in services across the world. At present, it has more than 200 members.

In addition to the summit, the Global Service Trade Alliance will invite its member enterprises to visit the comprehensive exhibition area of the 2022 CIFTIS. This area focuses on the main theme of "Services Connect the World; Innovation Changes life". It has two sub-themes: quality services connect the global market; innovation leads to a better life. Under these themes, it displays innovative products such as smart home devices and photovoltaic green building materials. The area also focuses on the role of services in construction, transportation, finance, and supply chain integration in promoting global win-win development.

Central and municipal government officials, foreign diplomatic envoys in China, representatives of international organizations, major players in trade in services across the world, representatives of associations and think tanks and the like participated in the summit virtually or physically.
