On July 12, 2021, the China-Brazil Forum of the 27th World Congress of Architects was held with both online and offline participation at the Future Design Park in Zhangjiawan of the Municipal Administrative Center of Beijing. Chen Jining, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Mayor of Beijing, delivered a speech via video link.

Chen Jining said that the World Congress of Architects is an important platform for professional and cultural exchanges among architects around the world. With the theme "all the worlds, just one world", this year's Congress has added the China-Brazil Forum to its program, where in-depth discussions will be held on how to use architecture to express the balance between different people, man and Nature, and man and technology, which will provide new inspiration for future development of cities and will for sure help architecture better serve people's lives. As a renowned ancient capital, a historical and cultural city, and a modern metropolis, Beijing, while protecting and inheriting the graceful charm of the ancient capital, took inspiration from world-class architectural concepts, technologies and crafts, and completed building a number of landmarks with characteristics of our times, and is becoming greener, smarter, with bluer skies and greater livability. Beijing is the most innovative city with the most enabling business environment, the greatest openness, inclusiveness and hospitability. At present, we are embracing a development philosophy featuring innovative, coordinated, green and open development for the benefit of all, pursuing organic urban renewal and high-quality development, and striving to build a world-class metropolis that is harmonious and livable. Beijing is willing to open arms and build platforms, provide new opportunities for international architects to deepen exchanges and cooperation, and further promote integration, mutual learning and common prosperity among diversified cultures.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is the host city of the 27th World Congress of Architects. Jointly organized by the Architectural Society of China and the Institute of Architects of Brazil, the China-Brazil Forum is an important part of the 27th World Congress of Architects.
