According to the arrangements by the Work Committee for Organs Directly Under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, over 60 Party members from the departments and affiliated institutions of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality visited the Beijing Exhibition Center for the exhibition themed "Forging Ahead in the New Era" on the morning of October 9, ahead of the 20th CPC National Congress, to learn from the remarkable feats and press on with pride and confidence.

The exhibition focused on the great accomplishments and transformation in the cause of the Party and the country in the first decade of the new era. With over 6,000 items including photos, objects and models, it was a vivid demonstration of the truly momentous and extraordinary 10-year period since the 18th National Congress of the CPC. Participants followed the docent through each exhibition area, watching carefully, discussing with each other, and taking photos. The objects, models, videos, photos and graphs provided an immersive experience of the historic advances and evolution in the Party and the country, thus pooling great momentum to embark on the new journey.

The exhibition area for the city of Beijing provided a panorama of how Beijing has implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions and the major plans and decisions of the CPC Central Committee since the 18th CPC National Congress from multiple dimensions. It exhibited the capital's profound and historic transformation, rapid development and brand-new image over the past decade. At the board presenting the city's work to build itself into the national center for international exchanges, participants stopped and savored the work they had done, feeling exhilarated and uplifted. This enabled them all to be even more committed to serving major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics and the development of the capital in the new era, as well as building Beijing into the national center for international exchanges with Chinese characteristics and a global standing at a faster pace.

With great and inspiring success, an exciting future lies ahead. The visit reinforced participants' belief and resolution to follow the instructions and guidance of the Party. It was unanimously agreed that they would rally more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core on the new journey, forge ahead with enterprise and fortitude, and write a new chapter in building Beijing into the national center for international exchanges and pursuing high-quality development in the capital's foreign affairs, thus setting the stage for the 20th CPC National Congress with concrete action.
