2022 BAAI Conference Kicks Off

The 2022 BAAI Conference kicked off on May 31 online. The three-day event was hosted by the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI) as part of the 2022 Zhongguancun Forum. More than 200 top experts in the field of AI at home and abroad, including Adi Shamir, winner of the 2002 Turing Award, Dai Qionghai, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Karl Friston, Professor at University College London, attended the event.

Beijing was invited to attend the conference and introduced its development in the field of AI. At present, Beijing is speeding up its building of a scientific and technological innovation center and implementing new pilot reforms in Zhongguancun, which provides new opportunities for its development in the field of AI. Next, Beijing will further enhance its role as an innovation platform, deepen exchanges and cooperation with domestic and international innovators, and work for breakthroughs in basic theoretical research and core technology development in the field of AI. It will speed up building the world's leading science and technology parks, provide a better environment for enterprises to assemble and develop and for talents to start businesses and build careers, and unleash its full potential in the AI industry.

The BAAI Conference has been held for four sessions since its inception in 2019. It has become an influential platform for international exchanges in the field of AI. Cutting-edge technological innovations and industrial applications were launched at the 2022 BAAI Conference, including MetaWorm, a simulation model of a roundworm with the highest precision to date, the AI Chip Ecosystem Laboratory and Jiuding AI-Computing Platform.
