On September 26, the groundbreaking ceremony of Le Village International du Vin Phase I Project (Musée Universel du Vin) was held at the Bashimudi Village, Chengguan Subdistrict in Fangshan District. As one of the major projects to build Beijing into a center for international exchanges, the project covers an area of 16,488 square meters, with a floor area of 28,124 square meters.
Endorsed by the brand "La Cite Du Vin" of Bordeaux, France, the museum will employ multimedia and other technologies to create an immersive experience for the visitors and will be built into a comprehensive venue with exhibition, catering, trade, conference, entertainment, and shopping functions. In the next phase, all participating parties will work together to create a flagship project, contributing to the integrated development of the cultural tourism industry in Fangshan District and building Beijing into a center for international exchanges.
