On
December 18, the 2020 T-EDGE Conference & Awards was held at the Xingguang
Global New Media Center,
China New Media Development Zone in Daxing District in both online
and offline forms. Chen Zhili, former State Councilor and Vice
Chairman of the 11th Standing Committee of National People's Congress, and Zhang
Jinsong, Deputy Secretary-General of the People's Government of
Beijing Municipality, attended the conference and delivered speeches.
The 2020 T-EDGE Conference & Awards was jointly held by the Administrative Committee of Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone, China New Media Development Zone, and TMTPost Group, under the guidance of Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park and Daxing District People's Government of Beijing Municipality. It was themed on "be resolute" and characterized by "broader topics, more international guests, and more professional content"—it invited science and technology experts and global innovation leaders around the world to made in-depth discussion on a wide range of topics, including changes in globalization, digital economy, new infrastructure, digital finance, biomedicine, and international investment trends.
At the opening ceremony, head of the Administrative Committee of Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone introduced the recent development of Beijing's Two Zones and relevant policies. (The Two Zones are referred to the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone.) Meanwhile, it released a second batch of institutional innovation measures. Officials from Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone (Daxing) and representatives of China Power Complete Equipment Co., Ltd., JD Group, Shanghai Cell Therapy Group, Beijing-based pet cloning company Sinogene, and Huaya Airline signed agreements on the implementation of projects in the pilot free trade zone. Daxing District also signed project agreement with Power China Northern Headquarters, Beijing Anneng Construction Company, China Great Wall Industry Corporation, and Sinochem Group.
