The 1st China (Beijing) International Audiovisual Conference opened in Beijing with both online and offline exhibitions

On the morning of November 19, 2020, the 1st China (Beijing) International Audiovisual Conference opened at the Beijing Exhibition Center.

The four-day conference centered on the theme of "Audiovisual Changes Life, Culture Leads the Future", combining both online and offline activities. The online exhibition platform displayed thousands of audiovisual products and the e-commerce platform set specific sections for selling those products. The offline exhibition consisted of 11 thematic exhibition areas with more than 200 exhibitors, covering 20,000 square meters. It showcased the development and innovation of contemporary audiovisual industry in and out of China. The event included more than 30 professional forums, bringing together about 300 experts and scholars to exchange views on the high-quality development of the audiovisual industry. Moreover, it specifically set an investment sector for roadshow projects which carried a market value of over RMB 100 billion. As a high-end platform, the conference marked the high starting point and new stage of the audiovisual industry.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, the Research and Training Institute of the National Radio and Television Administration, the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, and the Radio and Television Administration of Hebei Province signed a strategic cooperation agreement on establishing the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei New Audiovisual Media Convergence Academy. In accordance with the agreement, the three will work together to train regional audiovisual talents, including developing a sophisticated mode of cultivating talents, promoting the integration of industries, universities, and research institutes, and facilitating the exchange of regional talents.  

The opening ceremony of Beijing International Cloud Broadcasting Technology Co., Ltd. was also held on site. The said company will focus on the video industry featuring media convergence. Through using new technologies such as 5G, cloud computing and artificial intelligence and the"double middle platforms + microservices" framework, it will realize cloud broadcasting and remote services.  

Besides, the laboratory of ultra-high-definition (UHD) television technology research and application and the regional center of the national cultural big data system were also unveiled.
