The 13th International Roundtable of Multinational Corporations' Leaders was held in Beijing on March 18, 2021. About 200 leaders of multinational companies, including Thyssenkrupp and GE Healthcare, and eight foreign diplomats in China attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Beijing introduced its main policies and approaches for the building of the "two zones." Beijing will make full use of its resources and grasp the historic opportunities to open the industries wider, facilitate data and capital flow, give more support to talent, and improve the business environment. Beijing will implement various pilot programs, improve the enterprises' sense of gain, focus on the building of the "two zones," and pursue higher-level opening-up and development in the 14th five-year plan period. The introduction attracted a lot of attention from the foreign guests, who said that they would seize the opportunity of Beijing’s efforts to further open up the services sector and invest in Beijing to participate in Beijing's building of the "two zones."
The International Roundtable of Multinational Corporations' Leaders is organized by China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations (CICPMC). Since the first meeting in 2007, it has become an important platform for exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign multinational companies. The theme of the meeting this year is "An Open China and the World."
