The Consular Affairs Division leads the prevention of and response to major foreign-related emergencies in Beijing. It coordinates and guides work for the safety and protection of Beijing citizens and institutions abroad and supports consular work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various Chinese embassies and consulates abroad.
