The Entry-Exit Administration Division manages foreign affairs related to Beijing-based national associations and chambers of commerce. As authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the division manages and guides official inbound and outbound visits of all municipal institutions. It approves and issues invitation letters for foreigners' visa applications, handles applications for business visas and residence permits by certain foreigners in Beijing, and also handles applications from Beijing municipal enterprises for the APEC Travel Cards.
