The opening ceremony of the "Beijing-a Global City" short video contest was held Tuesday night. During the contest, short videos about Beijing's urban development, international exchange and non-governmental exchange activities will be collected. 

“北京·国际范儿”短视频大赛开幕式于2021年10月12日正式启动。大赛期间，将征集一系列讲述北京城市发展、国际交流往来、国际化人文环境等题材的短视频故事。

"Beijing-a Global City" short video contest, jointly organized by the Beijing Municipal Government Foreign Affairs Office and Guangming Online, is held for the first time this year. Both professional filmmakers and the general public can participate. The competition will collect and display short video works related to the theme -- "Beijing-a Global City". 

由北京市政府外办主办，光明网承办的“北京·国际范儿”短视频大赛开幕式今年首次举办。鼓励广大市民、在京单位和热爱北京的外国友人积极参与，通过不同国籍、不同行业、不同年龄人群看北京、拍北京，精彩呈现北京充满活力、具有独特魅力的“国际范儿”。

The competition is open to individuals and groups, and will last until December this year.  Short videos submitted should be within 2 minutes long. Participants can use mobile phones or other devices to record the activities or scenes that best show Beijing as a Global City in their opinion and post them on new media platforms such as Kuaishou. The offline event of the competition will be held in Yanqi Lake, Daxing International Airport and other places. Foreigners living in Beijing are also welcome partake.

大赛面向个人和集体征集时长2分钟以内的视频短片，征集工作将持续至今年12月。参赛人员可用手机或其他摄录设备，记录自己眼中最能代表北京国际范儿的活动或场景，并在快手新媒体平台上发布视频进行投稿参赛。同时，大赛还将在雁栖湖、大兴国际机场等地，组织开展四场线下主题采拍。同时，鼓励在京的外国朋友积极参与比赛。

The official website of the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office and Guangming Online will set up special pages for the activity, and jointly promote the event with new media platforms such as the Beijing Municipal Government’s official website, Kuaishou App, and Weishi App.
