On March 24, Pinggu District and Spoleto in Italy held an online meeting to discuss tapping into the potential of industrial cooperation and expanding the fields of cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides introduced their respective local economic and social development. The person in charge from the Foreign Affairs Office of Pinggu District highlighted that Pinggu District has a profound cultural heritage and strong advantages in location, which makes it similar to Spoleto in terms of resources related to cultural tourism, logistics, food nutrition and health, and smart manufacturing. They expressed hope that the Italian side would participate in the China (Beijing) Leisure Conference and the World Agri-Food Innovation Forum (WAFI).

Giovanni Paloli, Director of the Economic Development Bureau of Spoleto, mentioned that In addition to a long history and culture, Spoleto has good produce such as olive oil, white wine, and black truffles. He expressed hope that Pinggu District would send a delegation to participate in the "Festival dei Due Mondi" and strengthen practical cooperation in fields like agriculture, cultural tourism, logistics, and mechanical manufacturing.

Going forward, the two sides will continue to deepen friendly exchanges, seek the common ground in their respective industries, and work towards bringing more cooperation projects to fruition. This will contribute to the high-quality economic development of both regions.
