On September 27, Xicheng District and its sister district for international exchanges -- Leninsky District of Minsk, Belarus, held an online promotion event for enterprises on the theme of "Joint Development for a Shared Future".

Liu Dongwei, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Xicheng District Committee and Acting District Mayor of Xicheng, delivered a speech at the promotion event, introducing the latest developments in the district, encouraging enterprises from both sides to increase mutual investment, strengthen exchanges between the two sides in various fields such as trade and investment, unlock the potential for cooperation, and promote greater development of friendly relations between the two districts for better benefit of the people.

The Xicheng District introduced their work to build Beijing into an international model city for consumption, create a national-level New Fin-tech Zone, boost the digital economy, and improve the business environment.

Raman Melnik, Head of the Administration of the Leninsky District of Minsk, said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belarus, cooperation has been going deeper. Not long ago, the two heads of state held a friendly meeting and upgraded the relations between the two countries to all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership. Leninsky District sincerely hopes to establish a strong, stable, and sustained partnership with Xicheng District, strengthen cooperation, promote friendly exchanges in multiple fields and achieve mutual benefits. The leaders of Leninsky District also introduced local economic development, industrial parks, and enterprise operation.

The two sides selected enterprises for the industrial focus and complementary advantages of the two districts, and a total of nearly 40 enterprises participated in the online promotion and exchanges, covering commercial circulation, high-tech, food and wine, textile and clothing and other fields.

At the meeting, the two district governments also signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the People's Government of Xicheng District of Beijing and the Government of Leninsky District of Minsk on In-depth Cooperation in Trade, opening a new chapter for the future development of cooperation between the two areas.
