On the afternoon of January 30, Yin Li, Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, met with Guy Bradley, Chairman of Swire Pacific Limited.

Yin stated that Beijing, like the rest of the country, has accelerated its economic recovery in 2023, with a growth of 5.2 percent. As the capital city, it boasts rich resources in education, technology, and talent, as well as immense potential for consumption and investment in urban renewal. Its two world-class international aviation hubs have facilitated connections between Chinese and global markets. The implementation of policies such as the "two zones" has created a broad space for international and domestic enterprises and capital to invest in the city. As one of the first foreign-funded companies to enter China, Swire Pacific Limited has always made Beijing the centerpiece of its growth in China and has played a positive role in stimulating the city's consumer market and the flow of people and goods between Beijing and Hong Kong. It is hoped that Swire Pacific Limited will actively participate in building Beijing as an international consumption center city, grow its presence in the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (BMC) and other key functional zones, and launch more iconic commercial projects to attract high-quality business resources. Furthermore, it is expected that the company will engage in the development of the two aviation hubs and airport economic zones, boost the steady resumption of flights between Beijing and Hong Kong, improve passenger and cargo services, and launch the aircraft maintenance business at Beijing Daxing International Airport. He encouraged the company to play an active role in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, and contribute more to the health and well-being of the public with high-quality and diverse services. Beijing will continue to improve its business environment and strive to pave the way for better growth of domestic and foreign businesses.

Bradley expressed Swire Pacific Limited's unwavering commitment to the Chinese market. He said that the company would seize the new opportunities presented by Beijing's development to continuously expand its investment and business presence in the city. Swire will expedite its commercial projects in the city, work for the resumption of flights between Beijing and Hong Kong, and explore more possibilities for cooperation and development in new areas such as aircraft maintenance, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, so as to support Beijing in achieving high-quality development.

Municipal leaders Xia Linmao and Zhao Lei attended the meeting.
