《北京市国际交往语言环境建设条例》，是全国首部针对国际交往语言环境建设领域的地方性法规。《条例》的主要内容包括公共服务领域外语便利化、规范外语标识和促进社会参与三部分。
The Regulations of Beijing Municipality on Improving Language Environment for International Exchanges is the first local regulations on improving international language environment. It covers three areas, i.e. foreign language facilitation in public services, standardization of foreign language signage, and public engagement.
《条例》的出台是为了从多个方面促进北京国际交往语言环境建设水平的提升，助推北京形成全方位、多层次、宽领域的对外开放新格局，更好地服务首都高水平开放、高质量发展。

Strategically positioned as China's cultural center, Beijing is rich in culture and tourism resources. Culture and tourism industry is a window for foreign tourists to get to know about Beijing, so the foreign language services it provides are crucial for the experience and satisfaction of foreign tourists. Today, let's take a look at measures to improve the language environment in Beijing’s culture and tourism industry.
为更好地向来京外国游客提供外语便利化服务，全市200多个旅游景区，共设置外语标识约35000多块，其中4A、5A级景区的外语标识约27000块。
Around 35,000 foreign language signs have been set up in over 200 tourist attractions in Beijing. Among them，over 27,000 signs are in national AAAA and AAAAA scenic areas.
为进一步提升外语标识规范化水平，文旅部门会同外事部门起草实施《公共场所中文标识英文译写规范》文化旅游分则，并据此对全市重点景区外语标识予以规范。定期举行外语标识专题培训班，持续提升景区工作人员外语标识规范意识和设置水平。
Guidelines for the Use of English for Public Signs-Culture and Tourism has been drafted and implemented to standardize the use of foreign language signs in all scenic areas. In addition, training courses on the translation of Chinese signs and writing of bilingual signs are held regularly for staff from these scenic areas.

北京市文旅局专门开设“北京旅游网”（https://www.visitbeijing.com.cn/），用英、法、俄、日、韩等9种语言全面介绍北京的文化和旅游资源，涵盖住、行、游、购、娱等多个方面，为来京旅游的外国游客提供丰富的旅游服务信息。
VisitBeijing (https://www.visitbeijing.com.cn/) is a website dedicated to foreign tourists. With nine language versions, the website provides information on accommodation, travel, shopping, entertainment and so on for foreign tourists visiting Beijing.
为进一步向海外受众推介北京的文旅资源，北京市文旅局策划出品双语系列短视频《京•粹》，让海外游客在视频中遇见北京最美丽的景色和最美好的艺术。
A series of bilingual short videos titled Beijing：More Than Meets the Eye have been produced by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism to promote magnificent scenic spots and performing arts in Beijing.
